On his first day on the job, the Information Minister said,

The theory of evolution is as strong as Baghdad. I can say, and I am responsible for what I am saying, that they [creationists] have started to commit suicide under the walls of Baghdad. We will encourage them to commit more suicides quickly. I triple guarantee you, there are no scientists who doubt evolution. They're not even [within] 100 miles [of defeating evolution]. They are not in any place. They hold no place in science. This is an illusion ... they are trying to sell to the others an illusion. May they be accursed. We will kill them all........most of them.
