We received an email from someone who asked, "Are the videos you show at the Fourth Tuesday Videos for sale?" My smart-aleck answer was, "Yes, I bought them all."
Science Against Evolution no longer sells anything. Our first year we did sell some books and videos at our booth at the Desert Empire Fair, but the paperwork hassle just wasn't worth our time.
Our goal is not to make money. Our goal is to disseminate information. We once thought we could do that by selling books printed by others, but realized that we weren't adding any value by being a middleman.
Our only product is the Disclosure newsletter, which we distribute for free on the Internet. We mail printed copies of the newsletter to our members, who contribute at least $15 a year, which barely covers the cost of printing and postage.
At our monthly meetings we show a video that belongs to me or one of our local members. We try to pick videos with the most scientific content and least religious sermonizing. There is added value in watching a video as a group, and discussing it afterwards. It gives our members an opportunity to bring friends and ask questions.
We don't sell the videos we show. If someone likes the video, he or she can purchase it directly from the manufacturer.
There are lots of vendors of creationist material. The materials they sell often contain religious points of view, upon which our secular non-profit corporation takes no position for or against. We merely list these organizations (in alphabetical order) as potential resources for information the evolutionists would like to censor.
